Peter completed his medical degree in 2008 at King’s College London.
He started anaesthetic training in East of England in 2010 before moving to the North Central London anaesthetic specialty rotation in 2013.
He completed his general anaesthetic training in 2020 having undertaken advanced training in anaesthesia for hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, liver transplantation, cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery.
He has a subspecialty interest in anaesthesia for cardiothoracic surgery for which he completed two year-long fellowships at Bart’s Heart Centre, London and Harefield Hospital, London.
In 2021 he was appointed as a substantive consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at University Hospital Southampton.
His areas of particular interest include perioperative echocardiography, anaesthesia for interventional cardiology, and major aortic surgery.
In his private practice, Peter provides anaesthesia for a wide range of cardiac surgical and cardiology procedures, as well as general surgical and orthopaedic procedures.
He also delivers expert cardiac intensive care medicine.
