Kirstin Wilkinson completed an intercalated Bachelor of Medical Science in 1998 and then graduated in medicine (MB BS) from St. Bartholomew’s Medical College, University of London in 1999.
She undertook specialist anaesthesia training on the South Coast of England with an additional year in New Zealand.
Kirstin also undertook 2 further years of subspecialty training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, one at University Hospital Southampton and the other at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle for congenital cardiac anaesthesia including cardiac transplantation.
Kirstin is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthesia and has worked at University Hospital Southampton as a Consultant Anaesthetist since 2012.
She specialises in anaesthesia and intensive care for patients with congenital and acquired heart disease.
Kirstin’s private practice includes general anaesthesia and conscious sedation for patients undergoing cardiac or general surgery.
